I am grateful for the free and democratic way of life that Australia offers, and I am dedicated to using my skills and experiences to contribute positively to our community and create a better world for future generations. For the past ten years, I have been working tirelessly to promote community engagement and cultural understanding. I was the founding president of the Georges River Association. I was also honored to serve as a Multicultural Ambassador for The Salvation Army in 2021, advocating for diversity and inclusivity. I was elected in December 2021 as an Independent Councillor for Georges River.

I look forward to continuing to look after the community.

My journey in Australia began in 1997 when I migrated here with my family as skilled migrants. Since then, I have immersed myself in various roles that allow me to contribute positively to society.

Professionally, I lead a global IT team at a major Australian bank, leveraging my extensive experience in the IT sector spanning over 30 years. With Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Computer Science, fluent in English and Mandarin, and an understanding of Cantonese, I navigate the intersection of technology and multiculturalism with ease.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am deeply passionate about charitable initiatives, community service, and environmental protection.

In my personal life, family holds a special place. Cynthia, my wife and university classmate, is a senior IT manager, and our son Ed, who attended Hurstville Public School, is now a dedicated ICU doctor. Together, we cherish values of education, healthy living, and environmental sustainability.

One of my favorite pastimes is practicing Tai Chi, a discipline that not only nurtures physical well-being but also aligns with my values of harmony and balance. I am a vegetarian and advocate for healthy eating, environmental conservation, and animal welfare.
